SFC Capital is the UK’s most active seed investor (PitchBook, 2018-2023), providing capital and support to innovative startups. Since 2012, SFC has invested in over 400 companies either through its funds or via the SFC Angel Network, having committed over £100m to startups across the UK.
The company has been selecting high-potential startups on behalf of its hundreds of private investors and has been a pioneer of SEIS since its introduction in 2012. In its quest to provide investors with highly diversified portfolios at all levels, SFC seeks the most exciting early-stage opportunities through its network of leading universities, accelerator programmes and angel investors. Furthermore, the business became one of the first signatories of the Investing in Women Code and received a £15m commitment from British Business Investments to back high-growth startups in parts of the UK where access to early-stage equity capital is often scarce as part of the Regional Angels Programme.
