The Michelmores Angel Investor Network (MAINstream) was established in 2019 to accelerate the growth of and diversity within Angel investment, particularly in the South West.

Michelmores is a long -established top 100, full service law firm with offices in Bristol, Cheltenham, Exeter and London. In 2019, Michelmores established MAINstream, a UKBAA-registered, member-led angel investor network to facilitate and promote investment in the South West. Michelmores doesn’t just want to advise on the corporate transactions when they come to fruition; it wants to be the catalyst for deals.
MAINstream has approximately 65 members (and is growing) and holds 5 to 6 pitch events each year. MAINstream is entirely fee free and welcomes applications to pitch from any sector and from anywhere in the UK, although there is a definite member bias towards business that are based in or have a strong connection with the South West.
In recognition of the significant imapact that Michelmores is having on the early-stage ecosystem, it won the Best Legal Team for Early-Stage Deals category at the UKBAA Angel Investment Awards 2022.
