Cambridge, UK – 19 June 2025
The Entrepreneurship Centre at Cambridge Judge Business School today hosted a highly anticipated Female Founders Day – Peer Mentoring event, bringing together women entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and business leaders for a day dedicated to collaboration, mentorship, and shared growth.
Organised under the Accelerate Cambridge programme, the event aimed to foster stronger networks and provide tailored guidance to early-stage female founders navigating the challenges of scaling a business. The initiative reflects a broader movement to improve representation and support for women in entrepreneurship, especially in high-growth and deep tech sectors.
The day featured one-to-one mentoring sessions, allowing participants to receive personalised advice from successful founders and experienced investors. Key areas of focus included business development, fundraising strategy, team building, and leadership resilience.
A panel discussion explored the broader theme of mentorship as a tool for gender equity in business. Speakers included:
- Amelia Armour, Partner at Amadeus Capital
- Claire Gilvray, Founder of Gilvray Health
- Liz Zijing Li, Co-founder of Mimicrete
- Dr Jennifer Martin, Entrepreneurship Centre, CJBS
- Liz Marston, Director at Sotera
The conversation tackled the importance of representation in entrepreneurial ecosystems, the evolving role of mentors, and how both mentors and mentees benefit from reciprocal relationships.
Attendees also participated in peer pitch reviews, gaining constructive feedback from fellow founders, before closing the day with informal networking over drinks—further reinforcing the power of community and connection in driving sustainable business growth.
The event marks another step forward in Cambridge’s continued commitment to fostering inclusive entrepreneurship and equipping female founders with the tools, networks, and confidence to lead at scale.
